A Separation
Class for children who will be 2 by September 1 of the school year
. . .
Our goals
for this group center on providing a secure, safe and comfortable
environment where young children can learn to separate from their
parent under the care and guidance of experienced, mature teachers
who are trained to ease the process for parent as well as child.
Our curriculum
includes carefully selected activities based on themes that include
colors, shapes, seasons, animals, music and books, as well as simple
Bible stories that build on the following:
- To
develop social and emotional skills through sharing and taking turns
- To
promote self-confidence and independence as separation begins
- To
provide experiences for creativity, self expression and exploration
- To
promote cognitive development through age appropriate play activities
- To
promote language development and listening skills
- To
provide fine and gross motor developmental experiences
- To
provide a loving and nurturing Christian atmosphere
